BIO - FABIAN WILLEMS
Fabian Willems, based in Maastricht area, the Netherlands, is known as one of the most gifted singers, songwriters, Christian artists, and worship leaders in Europe. He stands out for his anointed ministry and the passion by which he communicates his heart in song. Fabian recently released his inaugural album ‘Freedom’, which features his abilities in song writing and brilliance in music production.
Captivating songs such as ‘Lion of Judah’, ‘Who is the King’, title track ‘Freedom’, ‘Peter’, ‘Let Your healing flow’, ‘Well done’ and his restyled version of ‘Let it rain’ have become favourites of the European listening audience. ‘Freedom’ truly is inspiring, containing beautiful songs that impart a message.
With his ground breaking CD Fabian releases a refreshing sound within Christian music. His style is cross-cultural, blending the energy of diverse musical genres such as Rock, R&B, Pop, Black Gospel, Caribbean with a symphonic edge. Fabian’s unique voice resounds like a shofar, showing the dynamics and range of a rare world class talent that ‘must’ be heard. ‘Freedom’ is a wonderful experience to the listener through breathtaking music that liberates, break chains, encourages and leads people in worship and amazement of who God is. Fabian was born in 1974 in Zürich, Switzerland but grew up both in the Netherlands and on the Caribbean island of Curaçao. He and his wife Ghiselle are the parents of four children. Even though He dealt with a sense of brokenness and rejection as a young fatherless teenager, his life changed when he turned to the Christian faith and radically believed on Jesus Christ at the early age of sixteen.
At that time he received a call from God to be a “witness to the nations, to transcend cultural barriers and reach out to the now generation.” This still drives him to write inspiring songs. Fabian has never despised small beginnings and has continued to develop his music over the years. After obtaining his degree in Music Technology he independently recorded and distributed two of his gospel solo albums titles ‘It’s Time To Praise The Lord’ in 2001 and ‘But Joy Comes In The Morning’ in 2003. These albums were well received and of tremendous inspiration to many in the international military community.
Fabian doesn’t s just make exciting music , but he has something to say, a message that touches hearts.
